Southwest Houston City Council members donated pennies in honor of those we have lost to cancer and also to those who are cancer survivors. Members presented Sugar Land Methodist Cancer Center with a check from the funds raised during our "Pretty in Pink" Fall event.
Southwest Houston City Council members presented Fort Bend Women’s Shelter with a check from the funds raised during our Breakfast at Tiffany’s Service Project. We learned after the presentation was made that Fort Bend Women’s Shelter had an anonymous donor who just happened to be matching funds during the timeperiod when our donation was made. So our amount was doubled. Way to go Southwest Houston City Council Members.
Xi Alpha Zeta Chapter Service Project was the East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry. Twelve sisters attended their Empty Bowls Project where each painted a bowl to be auctioned off at the Ministry's Fundraiser. A donation was also made to their Food Pantry.
A holiday time service project for Alpha Delta Theta was sleeving poinsettias at The Brookwood Community. Many hours were spent getting the plants to look just right for distribution.
The XPG sisters have been involved during the 2022 – 2023 sorority year by donating to Katy Christian Ministries, writing cards of appreciation to our military at “A Million Thanks”, supporting our legacy Jackelin Foley with her American Heritage Girl organization by supporting the Box of Joy program. Making toys for “Man’s Best Friend” dog shelter and support BEAR a resource for CPS Kids.
